白雲の池入り口より、札ノ原方面へ30ｍ程行った右手の山林の川沿いに「七日廻りの巨石」が人知れずある。　信仰の地であった温泉山（うんぜんざん）は、女人禁制であった。たとえ母と子であっても、その掟は厳しかった。
　ある日、僧坊にあずけられた我が子に会いたい一心から、幼児をつれた母親が禁制を破って、この岩まできて休んでいたところ、幼児が突然いなくなった。
　母親は狂ったように、七日七夜この石の周りを探したが、そのうち息途絶えた、という悲しい話が伝わっている。

「Nanoka-mawari-ishi(7days round rock)」
Hidden along the riverbank in the mountain forest on the right-hand side, about 30 meters from the entrance of Shirakumo Pond, there is a colossal stone called the "Nanokka Mawari no Ishi" (Stone of Seven Days' Circumambulation). The sacred mountain of Unzensan was a place of worship where women were prohibited from entering. Even if they were a mother and child, the rules were strict.One day, a mother, driven by her strong desire to see her child entrusted to the monastery, broke the prohibition and came to this rock to rest with her infant. However, suddenly, the child disappeared.The mother, in a state of madness, searched around this stone for seven days and nights, but eventually, she succumbed to exhaustion. This is the sad tale that has been passed down.
