Kataasi-torii
The "Kataashi Torii" (One-Legged Torii) located near the Fudano-hara bus stop was the first torii gate of the former Onsen Shrine, known as the "Shimen-sha," and beyond this point, entry was restricted to women. It was erected on September 12th, 1827, by Yaegi Yoichibei from Kitarima. The exact cause of how and when the torii gate became one-legged and broken is unknown, but it was relocated after being buried about two-thirds of its original height due to road expansion and land development. The torii gate has only a portion of the left side remaining, with a pillar made of natural stone measuring 4.7 meters in height, 2.3 meters in circumference, and weighing approximately 7 tons. A stone plaque with the inscription "Shimen-sha" is also preserved
