Although lava eruption gradually diminished and nearly came to a halt by the end of the previous year, it resumed on February 2nd of this year. The tenth lobe, which began its growth on flat terrain, initially took on a petal-like shape and eventually swelled into a round dumpling shape (coronet-shaped lobe). After expanding to a diameter of 300 meters and a thickness of 80 meters, it was eventually collapsed by subsequent lava and almost disappeared in a little over six months. In the background, Fugen Pond and Byobu-iwa still remain.
