The lava dome ceased its growth in February 1995. This photograph captures the almost final panoramic view of the lava dome, taken from the southeast aerial perspective. At the central summit, there is a newly grown fragmented lava hillock. On the left slope, a tongue-shaped 11B lobe is visible. Over the years, the lava dome has engulfed well-known features such as Byobu-iwa, Fugen-pond, Hatoana, and the ancient scorched lava flow from the eruption in 1663. This lava dome has been named "Heisei Shinzan."
