Yushien

Yushien is a Japanese garden created with the magnificent nature and legends of Shimane Prefecture in mind.
Daikon Island in the Nakaumi area is visited by 300,000 tourists a year, but in the past there were not many tourists, so the idea of creating a Japanese garden as a tourism resource for the island was the origin of this garden.
After a long planning period, the park finally opened in 1975. It is said that the name ``Yushien'' was taken from the character ``Yu'' of the person who invented it, Yuzo.
The 40,000 square meter grounds include not only a strolling garden with a pond, but also a peony hall where you can enjoy peony flowers throughout the year.
Korean ginseng is still often consumed as a nourishing and tonic agent, but the one produced on Daikon Island is called "Unshu ginseng" and is highly rated overseas as a luxury product comparable to authentic Korean ginseng. I'm getting it.
There is also ``Unshu ginseng no Sato'' on the premises where Unshu ginseng is processed and sold, and you can observe the process of making Unshu ginseng.
