The Awa Odori Hall is a cultural facility that holds exhibitions and demonstrations based on the theme of Tokushima Prefecture's traditional performing art, "Awa Odori."

Awa Odori, known as one of the three major festivals in Shikoku along with the Yosakoi Festival in Kochi Prefecture and the Niihama Taiko Festival in Ehime Prefecture, is a festival that can only be seen for four days during Obon in August every year.

At this museum, you can enjoy the rarely performed Awa Odori dance throughout the year.

At the Awa Odori Hall inside the museum, demonstrations of Awa Odori are held three times a day by the hall's own dancer, ``Awa no Kaze,'' and on weekend nights, there are also performances by the famous Awa Odori Ren.

The authentic Tokushima dancers perform an old-fashioned and elegant dance that resembles the scenery of flowers, birds, wind, and moon, and you can feel the beauty of the dance as well as the heat.

At the adjacent Awa Odori Museum, you can learn about the history of Awa Odori, which is said to have a history of 400 years, and learn the basics of dance movements.

Let's dance Awa Odori to the rhythm of Yoshiko and the pleasant music.
