Takezaki Castle Ruins Observation Deck is a unique observation deck shaped like a castle.
From the observation deck, you can enjoy a 360° panoramic view of the great nature of the Ariake Sea. The observation deck, which juts out into the Ariake Sea, offers a spectacular view.
The location where this observatory was built was once Takezaki Castle, which is said to have been built during the Nanbokucho period. This castle was built by the Arima clan in 1378, taking advantage of Takezaki Island's unique topography.
The construction of the castle is said to be extremely rare and valuable, as it can withstand not only attacks from the sea, but also attacks from the land.
Also, at night, the Takezaki Castle Ruins Observation Deck is beautifully illuminated. The castle-shaped observatory that appears in the darkness is very magical, creating a different atmosphere than during the day.
We recommend not only the illuminated observatory but also the view from there. You can see the city of Takezaki and the night view of the Ariake Sea in the distance, and enjoy the scenery unique to the steep observation deck.
